Awards Program

CGJA awards recognize the extraordinary contributions of current and former grand jury members throughout the State to the furtherance of the goals of the California Grand Juror Association. There are also awards recognizing the contributions of non-CGJA member individuals or organizations in promoting the grand jury system.

Lifetime Achievement Award – recognizes exceptional and important work to further the goals and purposes of CGJA, performed over an extended period of time by a current or former member of CGJA. Any member may contact a Board member with a recommendation for this award.

Angelo Rolando Service Award – annual award (only to one person) in recognition of outstanding and exceptional service to CGJA by a CGJA member in good standing. 

Excellence in Reporting Award – two annual awards: one recognizes the best grand jury report and the other is for best news media reporting. 

Local Achievement Award – allows local CGJA Chapters or associations to recognize an individual or organization that has supported the purposes of the Grand Jury.

Certificates of Special Recognition - recognizes exemplary services or innovations benefiting the California grand jury system and/or promoting the CGJA Mission Statement
