Local Achievement Award

This award is made to an outstanding Chapter member for his or her contribution to primarily the chapter and the local community with secondary consideration for contributions to CGJA at the state-wide level.

(1)  May be issued at anytime during a CGJA year to one individual from each CGJA Director Region, whether a CGJA Member or not, who has made exceptional contributions to advancing the California Grand Jury System in the nominee’s Region.  While nominees may include anyone, emphasis is placed on former grand jurors, members of Court staff, local reporters, CGJA Chapter or Association members, and the like.

(2)  Written nominations describing the nominee’s efforts and activities shall be accepted only from CGJA Members resident in the nominee’s Region.
