What the award recognizes
Local individuals, groups and/or organizations who have been very helpful in promoting the CGJA mission to promote, preserve, and support the grand jury system.

Who is eligible
Any person, group, or organization

Origin of award
Established by the CGJA Board of Directors in 2012 to encourage local entities to identify persons/organizations within their county community who have been supportive of the grand jury, to a degree warranting recognition. The awarding group may request CGJA to join in that recognition.

Award criteria
The sole requirement is that in the judgment of the local organization, the contribution warrants recognition and the local organization intends to host a gathering where the award is presented to the recipient.

Submission requirements
Anyone may nominate an individual or organization for this award (e.g., local CGJA Chapter, local Grand Jurors' Association, an organized group of local veteran regular grand jurors, or a group of interested citizens). Contact the chairperson of the Awards Committee.

A request will be considered at any time during the year.

When the award is announced
The award is presented at a gathering hosted by the nominating individual, local organization, chapter or association.
If approval is given to join in the presentation, the CGJA President or a representative will attend your gathering and present a supportive award from CGJA.
