Foreperson and Pro Tem Workshop
CGJA is conducting its Foreperson and Pro Tem Workshops remotely again in 2024. We are offering four workshops, one each Wednesday in July using Zoom. The fee is $55 per person. The workshop will begin at 9:00 am and end at 4:00 PM and will include a one-hour lunch break. Training materials will be shipped in advance. Registration must be received no later than 7-10 days in advance to allow for shipping. We will contact you by email to confirm your registration and get a shipping address.

Program Description:
This workshop covers the leadership responsibilities of the foreperson, pro tem, and other officers of the grand jury. Topics include: how to get started; useful techniques for organizing, coordinating, and facilitating the civil grand jury’s work; team building; California law as it applies to the foreperson’s duties and responsibilities; the administrative and leadership roles of the foreperson and pro tem; dealing with interpersonal issues among jurors; and conflict resolution techniques. Participants take part in group activities to enhance the learning experience through the sharing of ideas.
