Foreperson and Pro Tem Workshop
CGJA is offering one day Foreperson and Pro Tem Workshops during July 2026 scheduled as indicated below:

Wednesday July 22, 2026 (Registration deadline July 13, 2026)
Wednesday July 29, 2026 (Registration deadline July 20, 2026)
Workshops will begin at 9:00 am and end at 4:00 PM and will include a one-hour lunch break. Training materials will be shipped in advance. Registration must be received no later than 7-10 days in advance to allow for shipping. We will contact you by email to confirm your registration and get a shipping address.

Program Description:
This workshop covers the leadership responsibilities of the foreperson, pro tem, and other officers of the grand jury. Topics include: how to get started; useful techniques for organizing, coordinating, and facilitating the civil grand jury’s work; team building; California law as it applies to the foreperson’s duties and responsibilities; the administrative and leadership roles of the foreperson and pro tem; dealing with interpersonal issues among jurors; and conflict resolution techniques. Participants take part in group activities to enhance the learning experience through the sharing of ideas.
