In a July 10, 2024 article by Holly Rusch for the San Mateo Daily Journal, the recent “grand jury report on San Mateo County’s Project Homekey endeavors — hotels [being] converted into housing for formerly homeless individuals using state funding” — raised concerns that “the county has “not yet clarified” what [metrics and] data will be used to determine [if] long-term success” is achieved in this project to provide permanent housing for the county’s homeless individuals.
